There has been a thick white carpet of frost covering the farm for the best part of a week, freezing the soil and making picking almost impossible. Duncan and his team of pickers are currently out in the fields, bearing the brunt of the cold weather to pick leeks for the boxes. Last year we bought a leek harvester in an attempt to keep the team happy and frozen fingers to a minimum.
