Little bent spirals of pasta made from Italian durum wheat. Very slowly dried to preserve its flavour and nutritional richness, delicate fusilli is an excellent base for casseroles and bakes, or eaten with a chunky meat or veg sauce, or added to salads and stews. Beyond the classic, velvety pasta with cheese – ideal for a winter’s night – there’s a punchy, adult version with spinach and blue cheese, or a subtler one of leek and smoked cheese. Or fuse together a two of the great dishes of the pasta world in a roasted veg fusilli and cheese with pesto.

Storage

Dried white fusilli has little fat or moisture, so it’ll last for at least 2 years if you store it in a cool, dark cupboard. Once you’ve opened the packet, keep it in an airtight container.
