Organic Fava beans
Homegrown organic Fava beans, with plenty of body and a satisfying, meaty flavour. Cooked and ready to use.
Homegrown organic Fava beans, cooked and ready to use. Fava beans have been grown in Britain since the Iron Age, but are now almost forgotten. Award-winning British pulse pros Hodmedod’s are bringing them back to our plates! With plenty of body and a satisfying, meaty flavour, Fava beans are a favourite in Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine – or brilliant for truly British baked beans, stews, curries, salads and more.
How to prepare
Drain and rinse thoroughly. The beans are ready to use, hot or cold. Add to stews, soups, curries, chillis, salads and more. To heat, add to your dish at the very end of cooking and heat through for 1-2 mins.
Ingredients and allergens
- Whole fava beans,
- Concentrated lemon juice
Store in a cool, dry place. Once opened, don’t keep your beans in the tin – turn them out into a covered bowl and they’ll last for 2 days in the fridge.
