Organic Maris minervois
Blackcurrants and red berries. Well-balanced, with fine tannins. Minervois is one of the ‘happening’ appellations in the Languedoc, and the village of La Livinière, at the foothills of the Coteaux de Languedoc, is where most of the best wines come from. Château Maris’ Minervois doesn’t disappoint, conjuring up the scents of the garrigue, preserved blackcurrants and red berries, and spices. The structure is soft, with a fresh, mineral style, leading to a long, well-balanced finish. Try with stews, grilled steak or cheeses.

Château Maris is located in the Languedoc-Roussillon region of southern France. They produce their wine organically and biodynamically. Some traditional methods are used: the entire estate is hand-harvested, and some plots are ploughed using work horses. In other ways, their methods are bang up to date: their winery is built from natural, biodegradable materials such as hemp and lime, and has zero carbon emissions. Château Maris’ bottles are made of 100% recycled glass, and their labels of recycled paper. It’s a good thing their wine is just as impressive as their environmental credentials!
