About Domaine Begude
British couple, Catherine and James Kinglake, bought Domaine Begude in 2003 and employ a knowledgeable French-Australian wine making team. The estate is nestled at 300m altitude in the foothills of the Pyrenees, in Limoux in the south of France: 11300 refers to the estate’s postcode. Hot sunny days, cool nights, clay-limestone soil and a unique fermentation process (during which 15% of the wine is fermented in barrels and 85% in stainless steel tanks), all contribute to give this wine its wonderful, subtle balance.
