About the producer
British couple Catherine and James Kinglake bought Domaine Begude in 2003 and employ a knowledgeable French-Australian wine making team. The estate is nestled at 300m altitude in the foothills of the Pyrenees, in Limoux in the south of France. Hot, sunny days, cool nights, clay-limestone soil and a unique fermentation process (during which 85% of the wine is fermented in barrels and 15% in stainless steel tanks), all contribute to this wine’s wonderful, subtle balance.
