Keep it cool
Please tell us where to leave this product if you are not in – it needs to be kept chilled to maintain its quality. A cool box in a shady spot works well.
Handmade in small batches in our farm shop kitchen using all natural, organic ingredients (and of course our own veg!)
Pastry (flour (wheat), water*, butter (milk), salt*), onion, potato, cheese (milk), vegetable oil, butter (milk), parsley, milk, salt*, garlic, pepper, (* non organic).
Allergens in bold.
Prepared in a mixed kitchen, may contain traces of : oats, spelt, egg, almonds, hazelnuts, cashews, walnuts, peanuts, soya, sesame, celery, celeriac, mustard, port (sulphur dioxide).
Suitable for vegetarians.
Keep in the fridge for up to 4 days and use before the date on the label, or freeze on the day of purchase.
Can be eaten hot or cold. If heating, sprinkle with a few drops of water and cover with foil (if you spread a little olive oil on the inside of the foil it will keep the pastry crisp). Place on a baking tray in a preheated oven at 180°C for 20-30 minutes until piping hot.
About the Riverford Farm Shop kitchen
Handmade by our own team in the Riverford Farm Shop kitchen. Guy’s brother Ben Watson, with his encyclopedic knowledge of food, is the inspiration behind the recipes. Ben’s team runs a busy production kitchen on our farm in Devon. We make everything by hand and put flavour first – if it doesn’t taste outstanding, we’ll keep working on it until it does. Our organic pies, tarts and marmalade have won awards in national taste tests.
