Organic pale ale brewed in the Black Isle, Scotland. We first tried Goldeneye at the recommendation of Glyn from our Field Kitchen restaurant, and were absolutely delighted. It has a beautiful golden colour and frothy white head, with a fruity aroma and rich, robust malt-and-marmalade flavour. Try it with anything spicy, smoked or barbecued, or alongside a hearty Sunday roast.

About Black Isle Brewery

Black Isle Brewery was started in 1998 by David Gladwin, an unemployed Scottish beer lover. He set out to make world-class craft beer using organic hops and barley – and with Black Isle now savoured from Sweden to Japan, he has certainly succeeded! The brewery bought a 125-acre organic farm called Allangrange (‘a fertile field of corn’ in Gaelic) in the Black Isle, Scotland, and turned it into quite the idyll; they grow some of their own barley, and feed the spent grain to their herd of 400 black Hebridean sheep, a beautiful jersey cow that produces milk for their tea, as well as hens and horses. They even grow their own salads and veg!
