French Night with Chef Ed Watts

26th January 7pm

Celebrate la cuisine de France with a special night our Sous Chef Ed is preparing to honour the land of his birth. A homage to butter and pastry, classic techniques and a certain je ne sais pas. C’est formidable !

Bread-Making Workshop

31st January 9.30am-3pm - Spaces available

Learn a variety of bread types and techniques from our Riverford chefs in this practical baking day with a little veg-magic thrown in.

You’ll be welcomed with coffee and London buns and go straight into making sourdough. From beetroot rye to parsnip & Cheddar soda bread, this hands-on workshop will teach you basics skills to elevate your bread to impressive levels.

You will take home a selection of breads made during the day plus a pot of ‘Peggy’ – our own sourdough starter culture to continue baking at home and enjoy a very special ‘working lunch’ in the Riverford Field Kitchen

Marmalade-Making Workshop with Pam Corbin & Liz Neville

6th or 7th February 9.30am-3pm

Marmalade-Making Workshop with light working lunch in The Riverford Field Kitchen, hosted by course tutors “Pam the Jam” Corbin (Thursday Cottage/River Cottage) & "Queen of Jam" Liz Neville (Parrett Preserves/River Cottage). Learn a variety of preserving techniques using our famous organic Seville oranges and an array of other seasonal citrus Riverford produce in this hands-on course from two of the UK's most famed preserving experts.

You will take home all the produce you have made during the day plus enjoy a very special ‘working lunch’ in the Riverford Field Kitchen
