Stir-fried Savoy cabbage with caraway recipe image

Print Stir-fried Savoy cabbage with caraway

Savoy cabbage is as good for a quick midweek meal as it is for a Sunday roast. Adding a few caraway seeds gives it an interesting flavour and goes particularly well with pork.

  • 2 tbsp oil for frying, e.g. vegetable or sunflower
  • 1 Savoy cabbage, tough core & ribs removed, leaves finely shredded
  • 1 tsp caraway seeds
  • Small knob of butter
  • Salt & pepper

  1. Heat the oil in a large frying pan or wok to a medium heat.
  2. Add the cabbage and caraway seeds and stir-fry for about 5 minutes, until the cabbage is wilted.
  3. Season and stir in a knob of butter to serve.
