Print Carrots cooked in honey and ginger

Ginger adds a twist to a favourite that's popular with all ages. This makes an easy dinner side that could be eaten alongside brown rice and chicken.


  • 500g carrots, very thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated


  1. Put the carrots in a wide pan with the butter, honey, lemon and ginger. Cover and cook slowly until tender.
