Print Garlic dip

Serve this easy and delectable dip with mixed vegetable crudités – raw bunched carrots and celery, or cooked bunched beetroot. Or try it with beetroot or celeriac crisps. A lovely canapé for summer or winter.


  • 2 whole heads dried garlic
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 4 tbsp whole yoghurt
  • 1 tsp wholegrain mustard
  • Salt & pepper


  1. Preheat oven to 180°C/Gas 4.
  2. Brush the garlic heads with the olive oil. Wrap in foil and place in a baking dish in the oven for 25-30 minutes.
  3. Remove from the oven and leave to cool slightly. Separate the cloves and peel. Place in a bowl and mash together with a fork.
  4. Season with salt to taste. Add the mayonnaise, yoghurt and mustard and mix together. Season with pepper. Chill until required.
