Print Crispy cod bake

A simple and delicious 30 minute recipe which could be eaten with the traditional mushy peas and tartare sauce, or with broccoli and mash. Try replacing cod with coley from for a more sustainable, marine-life friendly (and cheaper) meal.


  • 175g cod fillet
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • 25g fresh breadcrumbs
  • 15g half fat hard cheese
  • ½ small onion, finely chopped
  • Fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt & pepper


  1. Preheat oven to 190°C/Gas 5.
  2. Top the fillet with the sliced tomato and a mixture of the breadcrumbs, cheese, onion and parsley. Season and bake for 20-30 minutes. Serve with vegetables and boiled potatoes.
