With tender skins, waxy flesh and a delicate sweetness, they taste great served with seasonal salad and veg.
Potatoes are a member of the Solanaceae family that includes peppers, tomatoes, tobacco and aubergines. They originate from the Americas and provide a good source of potassium, folate and vitamin B6.
How to prepare
Boil with fresh mint and cool, then dress with olive oil and lemon juice, or a knob of butter, or light mayonnaise. Try our organic Riverford mayo made from the eggs of hens that roam free on the slopes of Dartmoor.
Delivered from our farm, so wash before cooking. Keep cool and dark on a veg rack. New potatoes are best eaten as fresh as possible.
