How to store pea shoots
Delivered from the farm, so wash before eating. Best kept in the fridge and eaten within a couple of days.
How to cook pea shoots
You can eat the whole thing – no need to trim any stalks. Use them raw as salad leaves or in sandwiches. They’re very delicate, so be gentle – dress and mix them lightly to avoid bruised, soggy leaves. Pea shoots shrink down too much to make much of a side dish on their own, but can be wilted into warm dishes at the end of cooking for an extra burst of green. They also make an unusual but very tasty addition to green smoothies!
Pea shoots season
These juicy leaves can be grown from spring to autumn in the UK, and in Spain during the colder months.
These Dwarf Grey Sugar variety pea shoots are grown by The Organic Watercress Company, who have supplied our watercress for many years. They grow the shoots outdoors in the fresh Jurassic Coast breeze of their Dorset farm for most of the year, and on their farm in Spain over winter.
Country of origin
Grown in the United Kingdom.
