patience is a virtue

The government tends to get relentless criticism from farmers and growers for all manner of things. It is fair to say that the burden of paperwork and the time it takes to get things done can be immensely frustrating. The latest challenge to my patience is the pursuit of official maps to verify that one of our fields has changed size a little since we built our new packing barn. Although the field change is pretty small it could take five months before we get the maps we need. Before we can have them back a government official has to go through the process of digitally remapping the farm and changing any amended fields on all government records.
