These homegrown button mushrooms are the smaller siblings of our standard Chestnut mushrooms. The only difference is when they’re harvested: cutting mushrooms at varying sizes helps to reduce food waste. Mini they may be, but button mushrooms are just as tasty: with a full, woodsy flavour, holding their shape yet turning velvet soft as they cook.

How to prepare
To prepare mushrooms, wipe them clean with some damp kitchen roll or a clean cloth. Washing them under the tap can make them go slimy. You don’t need to peel off the skins or discard the stalks; just leave them whole, dice or chop.
