Fresh, light organic vegetable stock. It’s miles better than anything that comes in a cube!
Fresh, light organic vegetable stock – it’s miles better than anything that comes in a cube. Organic veg (much from our own fields) is hand-chopped and simmered into a flavoursome broth with fresh parsley, thyme, bay leaves, black peppercorns and garlic. Proper stock adds tasty depth to vegetarian risottos, soups and stews – and ours freezes well, so you can always have a pot at hand.
This hearty stock is made to our recipe by our friends at Pegoty Hedge. Based in the picturesque Worcestershire countryside at the foot of the historic Malvern Hills, Pegoty Hedge is a family-owned and run kitchen located on an organic mixed farm. Their ethos is simple: if you use quality ingredients in the beginning and pay care and attention in cooking, you’ll produce consistently great-tasting food.
How to prepare
You can chuck this fresh stock into soups, stews, risottos, gravy – anything that needs a savoury liquid base. Simply empty the contents into a small saucepan and heat gently until simmering (make sure it’s piping hot).
