Rapeseed oil

£5.95 / 500ml

Cold-pressed organic rapeseed oil – the only one produced in Britain, from the Stringer family’s Yorkshire fields. The Stringers have been growing organic rapeseed on the Yorkshire Wolds for over 50 years. The oil is versatile, with a delicate, grassy natural flavour; enjoy on its own as a light dipping oil or base for dressings, or use for frying, roasting and more. Availability depends on seasonal harvests, so snap this unique kitchen essential up while you can.

Mike Stringer is the third generation to live and farm at High Collis Wold, Yorkshire; the family has worked there for over 50 years. The Stringers’ shared belief in the importance of conservation and the environment led them to go organic in 1999. Today, Mike lives with his wife Kate and two children, working together on 1100 acres of sheep, cattle and crops. Mike’s friendship with Adam Palmer of Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil and his cold-pressing equipment led to the creation of this fresh organic oil.
