Before we moved to Sacrewell a couple of years ago, the land was used for growing conventional (non-organic) potatoes and wheat, which left it in a rather sorry state. Now the farm is fully organic and used for growing organic crops, we want to put all we can back into the land. It may sound a bit hippy-dippy, but to us, organic farming is all about working with nature to grow wholesome food. As part of our plans to regenerate the land, we have put up bat boxes, and red kites and kestrels have returned to the farm; it is fantastic to see wildlife flourishing.
Our next idea is to plant 1,500 trees to create a nature reserve on the farm, which we
