Use in place of your normal sweet potatoes. They cook a little faster than a conventional spud, and carry strong Caribbean, Indian and Asian flavours well. Murasaki sweet potatoes look almost purpose-made for cutting into long tapered wedges for roasting, or can be baked whole. Peeled, chopped and boiled or steamed, they can be mashed or added to soups and stews. It’s not all about savoury – their inherent sweetness means that they can be folded into any number of cakes, biscuits and muffins, much as you would carrots or squash.
Delivered from our farm, so wash before cooking. Store on a cool vegetable rack.

Grown in Spain.
This variety is originally from Japan, where it is prized for its sweet, nutty flavour and culinary versatility.
Grown in Spain by Jean Claud – a supplier we have worked with for many years, who grows our standard sweet potatoes. We recently went out to Spain to catch up with some of our long-standing Spanish growers. Read all about it on our blog.
