Mature cheddar 250g

Availability: In stock

Wyke Farm’s award-winning organic mature cheddar is produced in the heart of the Somerset countryside to an age-old traditional family recipe. It has a lovely smooth, creamy texture and rich, well-rounded flavour with a pleasing long finish. As a result, a little of this cheese goes a long way, making it a great tasting and economical everyday cheese. It’s also suitable for vegetarians. Finely grate into a crusty baguette, sprinkle over a pizza or jacket potato, or layer over toast or roasted veg and grill until golden and bubbling.

About Wyke Farm's cheddar

Based in Somerset, Wyke Farms is committed to using sustainable farming methods and the best quality ingredients in the production of its dairy produce. It is the largest family-owned cheese maker in Britain, but still makes its cheeses in the traditional way using skilled cheese makers.

The Wyke Farms cows graze on fresh natural pastures rich in a variety of grasses and wild plants, including red clover which boosts the Omega 3 levels in the organic milk and adds to the exquisite taste of their cheese. In a taste test at Riverford, Wyke’s organic mature cheese won hands down. It’s not surprising, then, that the company has won numerous awards for its cheeses. Quite simply, we think it offers the best tasting organic cheddar on the market.
