Organic Jasmine rice
Organic white jasmine rice has a delicate floral scent, a soft, sticky texture and a gentle sweetness.
Rinse it well in a sieve under cold water before cooking to remove dust and excess starch. Steamed or boiled jasmine rice is a versatile accompaniment. It’s good with stir-fries, as with this steak and asparagus stir-fry, and to absorb the rich, spicy juices of a curry – try this rooty coconut dal with sticky rice. It also goes well as a side with veg, meat or fish – anything from cabbage thoran to chicken wings or steamed pak choi and salmon.

Once you’ve opened the packet, store it somewhere cool and dark and it’ll last indefinitely, although it’ll be at its best eaten within 6 months. Keep cooked rice in the fridge and eat it within 48 hours.
