We’ve been championing this wild-looking brassica long before curly kale became the veg du jour. Its dark, curled leaves are robust and packed with goodness. No shrinking violet, its slightly peppery taste can take strong flavours – try braising with chilli, garlic and olive oil for a healthy side dish. We’ve all sorts of kale recipes to keep your plate plentiful, from kale chips to soups and risotto.

Many kale varieties are close to their wild ancestors which are still found along the shores of the Mediterranean.

It is best boiled briefly or used in hearty, peasant-style soups and stews or stir-fries.


Delivered from our farm, so wash before cooking. Keep in fridge - has a shorter shelf life than cabbage.
