Vieux-georget bordeaux blanc

£53.75 / 6x75cl

Light and crisp. Unusually for a dry white Bordeaux, this contains a significant amount of Muscadelle grapes. The result is a near-perfect combination of crisp, herbaceous Sauvignon, rich, honeyed Semillon and the sheer joie de vivre of Muscadelle. The yeasty fragrance is matched with a light feel on the palate, with lots of bright citrus and fruity freshness. This is a great wine to have in the fridge; equally good by itself, or served with fish or green vegetables.

pre-packed case price is cheaper than buying 6 individual bottles.

Jean de Fré’s small Château, Vieux-Georget, is located to the southeast of Bordeaux. Its sunny exposure helps the grapes to ripen beautifully. It has been farmed organically since 1984.
