As I mentioned last week, a combination of rain, pessimistic crop planning (based on the previous two disastrous growing years) and slightly disappointing sales has me a bit worried that there is more in the fields than will fit in your boxes through autumn. There is nothing more upsetting for a grower than seeing good veg go to waste, so we have come up with a plan to get it enjoyed by you and your friends, to recruit some new customers and to raise money for Send a Cow, the practical charity we work with that promotes small scale, integrated and sustainable agricultural techniques mainly in Uganda and Ethiopia.
