Bosc pears 750g

Availability: In stock

Known as the ‘aristocrat of pears’, Bosc is a unique variety – distinguished in looks and taste. Their warm cinnamon-toned skins and elegant, slender necks make them easy to spot on the shelf. Don’t wait for them to go soft; when ripe, Bosc pears are crisp and juicy, with a deeply sweet flavour and notes of woodsy spice.

Bosc pears are lovely munched straight from the fruit bowl, but are also excellent for cooking; thanks to their firm texture, they don’t turn to mush. Ideal for baking into tarts, or poaching, perhaps with some cinnamon and ginger to complement their naturally spiced flavour.

Ripen in a fruit bowl. When ripe keep in the bottom of the fridge and eat within a couple of days. Straight from the farm, so please wash before eating.

Our pears are sold as class 2. This means that they might not look cosmetically perfect, but they are grown for the very best flavour. (We have to tell you this to satisfy some EU rules).
