The Field Kitchen is 5!

In May 2005 on our farm in Devon, the Field Kitchen opened its doors for the first time. Half a decade, thousands of visitors and tonnes and tonnes of fresh veg later, andHappy Birthday Field Kitchen we have just celebrated its 5th birthday.

Our staff took some time out from work yesterday afternoon for tasters and drinks prepared by Sam, Jane and the team. Guy said a few words about how proud he is of the Field Kitchen, including its originality, quality and the happiness it has brought him, staff and visitors.

    I took some friends to the field kitchen last weekend; we made a day of it, cycling from Totnes station (unbelievably beautiful countryside); went on the farm tour, picked rhubarb! and then had one of the most amazingly delicious lunches I have ever had. it was seriously good – and two of my friends have now signed up for the box life. powerful stuff, good food. many thanks to all the staff who made it such a fun day.

  3. Happy Birthday – it’s so great to have you near(ish). I’ve only actually managed to make it to you once a couple of years ago, but it was such a fab meal and a fun evening with Graham Harvey that it lives long in my memory. Every time we are up your way we have tried to book a place, but have been unsuccessful – probably because our visits to Totnes are always last minute. I am determined we will make it again at some point though.
