The #1 thing to remember with packaging is: reduce, reuse, recycling, in that order of priority. Recycling is inevitably expensive in terms of energy, and is never a substitute for not using the stuff in the first place. We’ve reduced our packaging as much as possible, using only what is necessary to preserve the quality of the produce. The rest is down to you.
We can’t reuse a box that isn’t returned to us, and a recyclable plastic bag is no good to man nor beast if you send it to landfill. If you want to reduce the environmental impact of your box, the best thing you can do is follow this guide, and make sure that as much of our packaging as possible doesn’t go to waste.

* This is very labour intensive for us, but until most local authorities offer better sorting facilities it is the only way to recycle them reliably.
