Golden colour, rounded fruit, refreshing acidity. Lush and expansive.

The perfect partner for the mountains of oysters and seafood grown and caught around Sete, on the Mediterranean in the Languedoc. Cooling sea breezes give the wines a crisp acidity – like a Mediterranean Muscadet. Petit Roubie Picpoul is a little fruitier than most making it more of an all round food wine, pairing well with spring vegetable and light poultry dishes or a joy by itself as an aperitif. Pale gold in colour, it's fresh and dry with citrus fruit notes and a pleasing nutty minerality.

The Wine Gang gave it 88 points , "A superior take on southern French wine du jour Picpoul de Pinet, this adds a lick of salted nut and preserved lemon to the juicy pear flavours - there's something of good Italian Verdicchio about this crisply presented, whistle-clean seafood partner" April 2015 (2014 vintage). 2015 is even better.
