Based at Buckfastleigh, Devon
We have grown to supply 40,000 homes per week nationwide from a network of four regional farms and box packing operations and are looking for an experienced H&S Advisor to join our team. Riverford has a turnover of around £45 million and employs over 400 staff across the network.
Alongside the 4 production sites, we also operate a Meatbox Company, our own farms, restaurant, staff canteens, many shows and events and logistics operations.
The main aim of the role is to assist and develop our managers on all areas of H&S. You will develop further their knowledge and understanding of H&S in a way that enables them to take full responsibility and ownership for H&S across their areas. This will be a hands on role providing on the ground support and development to the managers across the network.
We are looking for an experienced H&S advisor with experience of working in a H&S role in a production/manufacturing environment. You will have the experience and credibility to develop our H&S systems but also be able to do this in a way that empowers managers to develop their confidence and skills in H&S.

We are looking for someone to assist the Dispatch Team Leader to aid the smooth and efficient running of the dispatch area, positively working to achieve quality order construction, box production and distribution.

Responsibilities to include:
- Preparing pick-lists which are used by the Dispatch department throughout the day;
- Maintaining the absence, holiday and timesheet records;
- Managing the AX item list order for new products;
- Collate pallet orders of fresh and dry stock from daily pick-lists in the main Dispatch refrigerated area;
- Ensure all orders are despatched on time and to the correct locations;

Ensure all pallets are in good condition before use and ensure all pallets are wrapped correctly before loading.

Based at Sacrewell Farm, Peterborough 40 hours per week, including evenings and weekends on a regular basis This is a great opportunity for the right person who genuinely enjoys sales to sell a product which is ethical, healthy and lots of fun. Following up warm leads, you will be engaging over the phone and in person. You will use your keen listening skills and strong grasp of how to overcome objections, explaining just how tasty and fresh our veg boxes are. Your knowledge of the stories behind the product will mean that people want to try our boxes and order from us; there is a passionate community of growers, franchisees, customers, staff and cooks all involved with Riverford which creates a great buzz about our products and our customers love receiving their veg boxes from their veg man or lady straight to their door. You may have worked in an outbound role before, or in face to face sales; what’s important to us is that you can convey what is great about our veg boxes to potential customers and that you have an appetite for closing sales. The position is mainly telephone-based, with opportunities to work at farm open days, shows and events, and on door-to-door work, spreading the word about Riverford and signing up new customers. Based at Upper Norton Farm, Hampshire Riverford on Upper Norton Farm supplies over 400,000 boxes per year to homes in the central and southern region. The box packing operation turns over £5.8 million annually at a wholesale level and employs 29 staff. Alongside the boxes customers are also able to choose from a range of over 100 additional ‘extras’ products to be delivered with their box. These include meat, dairy, drinks and dry goods like cereals and biscuits. The GM has full responsibility for sales, production and financial performance of the Riverford on Upper Norton Farm box operation – from product leaving the field to boxes and other Riverford products arriving on customer’s doorsteps. Working with the Finance Director, the GM will take responsibility for developing annual business budgets and then managing the business in accordance with these. We are looking for an experienced manager with the drive and determination, values and enthusiasm to grow and develop the Riverford on Upper Norton Farm business. The successful candidate should possess the skills, experience and personality to elevate Riverford’s profile, enhance our reputation, attract new customers and consolidate our relationship with existing customers building loyalty and advocacy along the way.
