Oliver Watson is responsible not only for the day-to-day running of Riverford Farm but also has a part share in the Riverford dairy. The dairy was founded in 1988 and produces around 14,000 litres of milk a week along with other products such as clotted cream, double cream and organic yogurt. The dairy herd live on the farm and are an integral part of how the farm is managed, we use their nutritious manure for the vegetables, rotate the pastures so that the cows graze with the vegetable fields to allow the soil to recover and the cows eat any vegetables (that aren’t strong in flavour) that we can’t use.
