The Riverford box scheme began when Guy Watson started delivering vegetables locally to 30 friends in Devon. We now deliver around 47,000 boxes a week to homes around the UK from our regional sister farms.
what are 'sister farms'?
As demand for our vegboxes grew, we didn't want to grow any larger from the original Devon farm. So we joined up with organic farmers around the country who share our obsession for growing great-tasting affordable organic vegetables for local people. The regional sister farms help us keep food miles down, support local farmers, provide local employment and help us build a strong link between grower and consumer.
where are the sister farms?
The box scheme began at Riverford on Wash Farm in Devon. Our first sister farm was Riverford on Sacrewell Farm in Peterborough, followed by Riverford on Home Farm in Yorkshire, Riverford on Upper Norton Farm in Hampshire and Riverford on Stockley Farm in Cheshire. You'll get your vegetables grown and delivered by your regional farm.
